Networking
Dronacharya College BCA ICT Lab
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Designed and deployed a high-speed, structured wired Local Area Network (LAN) infrastructure and integrated Wi-Fi zone for the primary Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Computer Laboratory within the Computer Science Department at Dronacharya PG College of Education. The deployment included installing dedicated network switches, structured Cat6 rack cabling, terminal configurations for student workstations, and optimized bandwidth management to support advanced BCA coding, data structures training, and university web examinations.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Project Details
Dronacharya PG College of Education, Rait (Kangra), runs premier professional courses, including a highly active Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) program. To support rigorous technical training, advanced programming labs, and the university's digital curriculum requirements, the college’s ICT Computer Laboratory demanded an enterprise-grade network infrastructure overhaul. This project focused on the complete design, structural layout, and hardware configuration of a high-availability local network within the core ICT Lab. The new architecture delivers seamless, uninterrupted internet access and internal resource-sharing protocols for BCA scholars, faculty members, and external university examiners.
